The Good & the Bad - what did you like best? What least?

My stay at GLS was great! I really liked the location of my residence and I enjoyed the daily commute to school. I felt that I got to know the city a little better that way.

The course was good but too slow for me, so fortunately I was moved to a higher level after my first week. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the after class activities. I never got to do any because they filled up so fast! And not all of them were really that interesting to me... I wish there had been more evening activities like the Stammtisch on Monday nights :-)

And just because I'm a language teacher too, I have to add that when you do listening excercises in class, it's more beneficial to the students if they can see a copy of the tapescript afterwards.

Your recommendations for other students

Stay in the Brandenburg Gate apartments!

Pay for the breakfast deal on campus - it's worth it. Gooood food.

Don't bother paying for lunches or dinners on campus. There are so many restaurants around the school to try, and it's a great time to stretch your legs and socialise!

Meet as many people as you can, and explore as much of that great city as you can :-)
